Quality is fit for use. Companies understand that consumers are sensitive to quality of goods services they consume. Consequently, there has been an international initiative towards standardizing products, services and processes to meet the minimum acceptable standard in order to meet consumer needs and protect the interest of the masses.

This is evident in the establishment of International Organization for Standardization- ISO by the United Nations. Employers and employees are expected to comply with laid down training and certification requirements set by the international regulatory body (ISO) and affiliate regulatory bodies in all member countries.
